Yoga Therapy is not a symptom-focused but a whole body-focused approach. My love of anatomy, experience and knowledge of the nervous system and trauma, and considerations of all layers of Being are woven into my assessment and offerings.

What a session looks like:

Through one-on-one sessions we will go through an intake and discuss reasons for seeking Yoga Therapy and goals for working together. Based on the information shared, if appropriate for complaint, I will do a physical assessment. Based on the assessment and our time together, Yoga forms, movement, self-myofascial release, breath work and/or meditation will be offered to create a time-accessible and individualized home practice. While respecting and considering the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit, our work together will be trying to find the root of the problem, limitation or complaint so you can get back to what is meaningful to you.

Yoga Therapy, with its many facets and teachings, is client-centered and can support in creating change in your experience. In a compassionate and non-judgemental space, we can work together to help with:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • PTS + PTSI (PTSD)

  • Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia

  • Grief

  • Breathing difficulties

  • Sleep troubles

  • Trauma

  • Physical injuries/complaints

Before coming to see Richelle I was experiencing joint pain, back tightness, depression, and social anxiety. Over the course of a couple of months, I have experienced a large relief in day to day pain and have come to a better understanding of how the pain originates and how I hold on to it.
